On competing in Estonia...

Competing at the junior world mountain bike orienteering championships in Estonia was an amazing experience that allowed me to race at the highest level. This opportunity gave me the chance to ride types of terrain that were completely different to that of Australia. Many of the maps we raced on were covered in blue marsh yet the tracks were elevated and so the marsh was rarely a problem when riding. It was a unique opportunity to mix with some of the best athletes in the sport and learn about the training programs they follow and also how they race. I am very enthusiastic to nominate for the team next year in the hopes of getting to compete in such events again. Also I would like to thank Bayside Kangaroos for their support in helping me get to Estonia this year.
